Things You'll Need:
- Small paper plate
- Blue Card Stock
- Blue Buttons
- Cotton Balls
- Wiggle Eyes
- Blue Pipe Cleaners (or black)
- Blue Pom Pom
- Glue
- Scissors
- Ribbon
-
Step 1
Pour glue on the small paper plate and spread it around evenly. Place cotton balls on the glue to cover the entire plate (front side only).
-
Step 2
Cut out bunny ears with blue card stock. Glue to the back of the paper plate.
-
Step 3
Complete the bunnies face with wiggle eyes, blue pipe cleaners for the whiskers and mouth and a blue pom pom for the nose.
-
Step 4
Now cut out a shirt shape with the blue card stock. You can decorate your shirt with a tie and some buttons.
-
Step 5
Cut 14 long strips with the blue card stock. Make these the width of your ruler.
-
Step 6
Take two strips and place one horizontally and the other vertically. Create a fold the width of the strip at the end of each strip. Now you will begin to fold your accordion (see next step).
-
Step 7
folding illustrationTo make the accordion you will fold each strip every other direction. For example, the strip that is horizontal, you will fold to the left over the other strip. Then fold the vertical strip down over the other strip. Keep repeating this alternating from left to right and up and down until you have folded the strips over each other to the end (see picture).
-
Step 8
Use 2 strips folded together for each arm. For the legs, glue 2 strips together at the end. Repeat for two more strips and then fold (creating the accordion) 2 long strips together for each leg.
-
Step 9
For the accordion neck, cut 1 inch off each of the remaining two strips and fold together.
-
Step 10
Glue the accordion arms and legs onto the blue shirt. Glue the accordion neck to the bottom back of the paper plate and at the opening of the paper shirt.
-
Step 11
Lastly, cut out some bunny feet and hands and glue these to the legs and arms. Cut some blue ribbon creating a loop (for hanging) and glue to the back of the bunnies head.
