Planning a spring break Cancun trip can be just what you need to celebrate the upcoming Spring season! This article will show you how to plan for spring break Cancun!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Passport
  • Internet Access or Travel Agent
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proof of Citizenship
  1. Step 1

*BEGIN PLANNING YOUR SPRING BREAK CANCUN EARLY*

Don't wait until the week before spring break to plan your trip. If you plan months in advance, you'll save a ton of money and have a better choice of accommodation and resort spots.

  2. Step 2

    *OBTAIN A PASSPORT*

Prior to planning the details of your spring break Cancun vacation, plan on getting a passport. If you wait until the last minute to get one, you'll end up paying a lot more than you need to.

  3. Step 3

*RESEARCH SPRING BREAK CANCUN HOT SPOTS*

Gather recommendations from friends, family or online reviews to determine the best places to stay for a Spring Break Cancun vacation. Cancun even has it's own website with a ton of helpful and resourceful information.

  4. Step 4

*DECIDE ON YOUR METHOD OF TRAVEL*

If traveling by air, book your flight as early in advance as possible. If you decide to travel by land or air, you should book those early as well, unless you're driving yourself. In that case, you'll want to make sure you set aside enough gas money to get to Cancun and back.

  5. Step 5

*KNOW WHAT TO PACK FOR SPRING BREAK CANCUN*

During Spring Break season, the weather is beautiful, but besides on bringing clothing for warm weather you should also consider bringing a credit card (VISA, Mastercard or American Express preferably) or ATM card, camera, swimsuit, sunglasses, a small English/Spanish dictionary and suntan lotion. If traveling by air, be sure that you don't over pack. Airlines have weight guidelines for luggage and you don't want to pay extra. Just bring what you need.

  6. Step 6

    *DECIDE HOW YOU'LL GET AROUND*

Mexico offers buses, rental cars and trains. Buses are inexpensive, while you can expect to pay a lot more to travel by train. To rent a car, you need to be 25 years old with a valid drivers license and credit card. It'd be in your best interest to book a rental car prior to leaving home. Don't wait until you get to Cancun, or you'll end up paying a whole lot more.

  7. Step 7

    *BE HEALTH CONSCIOUS*

Drink distilled or bottled water and rinse fresh foods with it as well. You don't want to get sick on your Spring Break Cancun vacation!

Tips & Warnings
  • Consult with a travel agent or internet travel booking sites to help you in planning your Spring Break Cancun trip.
  • Do not put off getting a passport - you absolutely need it if traveling by air.
