Things You'll Need:

  • Antioxidant foods
  1. Step 1

It's important to eat foods that nourish your skin. First off, I will outline some foods that will NOT help your skin. Prepackaged foods and junk foods not only add to weight gain, but they also hurt your complection. It's not a good idea to consume junk foods in more ways then one.

  2. Step 2

All anti-aging diets and regimens recommend a high amount of antioxidants. Tomatoes play a huge rule in antioxidation. While they protect us from minor infections, antioxidant nutrients can also help prevent degenerative diseases such as cancer and heart disease. All this and they also help your skin push out the dead skin cells and start the rejuvenation process. You can get antioxidants from berries, black grapes, broccoli, carrots, cherries, chestnuts, hazelnuts, kale, raisins, papaya, peas, spinach, sweet potatoes and tomatoes. make sure to key in on those foods when you are at the supermarket, and try to get at least three helpings per week of an antioxidant-rich vegetable.

  3. Step 3

Lastly, look for foods strong in vitamin a and vitamin e. These help the skin retain moisture. Zinc is also a key ingredient in a healthy skin care diet, as it prevents stretch marks. Zinc can be found in red meat, turkey, grains, nuts, and mushrooms.
