Spring has begun and the warm weather will soon catch up to the season. We have been sentenced to the indoors for several months now and it is time to break free.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A mind set to greet this season of renewal.
  • Time to dedicate to your own renewal.

As you know, spring is a time of renewal. Nature awakens to the warm weather and begins a transformation to celebrate life. During the harsh, cold winter life turns dark and dreary for the Earth as does the spirit of humans, animals and nature. Well, now that the planet is waking up again so do we.

  2. Step 2

Time to clean your home. By cleaning and organizing your home you will simultaneously cleanse and organize your mind and spirit. If spring is not motivation enough to get yourself to clean your home, mind and spirit from clutter, there are many talented writers here on eHow who have wonderful articles to get you started. Read through our writer's articles and find great tips, trips and motivation.

  3. Step 3

Clean the dust, dirt and grime in your home. Wash all bed linens, towels and draperies. Donate items that you have not used in a year. Go through your clothing and donate clothes you have not worn in over a year and clothes that do not fit. Do not dilute yourself into thinking you will fit into them again.

  4. Step 4

If you have an area to garden plant some flowers. If you have only a window sill or an end table buy a green plant or a flowering plant. Getting back to nature will nurture your soul.

  5. Step 5

Just like the resolutions we make at New Year's, this is really the definitive time to make resolutions. Resolve to get fit. Choose your activity level and activity to your physical ability. Plan to talk up walking, jogging, bicycling, horseback riding, roller blading, or some other outdoor activity. Each day push yourself a little more. When you actually loose weight is the time to buy new clothes. By keeping the old clothes that were too small for you simply holds you back from really trying to become fit as it is a symbol of failure. Riding yourself of those clothing items that do not fit rids your mind of the bricks, so to speak, of what is holding you back from weight loss success.

  6. Step 6

Sit down sometime soon and make a list of plans for days trips, weekend trips or weekly trips to take during the warm weather. If you do not plan trips to the beach, arboretums, botanical gardens, friends or relatives homes, or even just the pool you might find yourself disappointed at the end of the summer because you never actually did everything you wanted to do. When you make solid plans your plans actual become reality. Use planning to plan your physical activities as well. Tell yourself that your exercise is just as important as waking up in the morning. No one can take care of yourself better that you can. Love yourself by treating yourself right and being hard on yourself even when you do not want to exercise.
