Twitter is not a fad, it's changing the way we market and build relationships. But many people are missing out on a great trick to get your tweets to show on the Google search results. I'll show you how

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Twitter account
  1. Step 1

Tweet away like normal. The tweet you choose for Google should probably be the end of a good conversation or provide a link to whatever is relevant to the Google search. You will need to include the search keyword within the tweet.

  2. Step 2

Click on the time the tweet was posted, this will open a new page that only displays that one particular tweet. This is the page you plan to show up on the Google search results.

  3. Step 3

Digg the tweet. Go to Dig.com and bookmark the page. Do this with Stumble Upon, Propeller and any other similar service. Depending on the level of competition for your keyword, your tweet could show up in the search results within the week.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use good keywords for your tweets.
  • A little keyword research will help.
  • Make sure your tweet is relevant to the keyword term.
  • The more links to the tweet the better.

on 5/6/2009 How do I get my tweets OFF Google? It's frustrating and a lack of privacy. I wrote to Tweeter support and their answer had nothing to do with my question.
