The Spring Season has arrived! Whether you are dressing up, or, dressing "down" for Spring, the key is color. Here are some of the hot colors for Spring that will make your suit or casual wear "pop" and signal that you have moved into the Spring Season!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • To start putting away the winter clothes.
  1. Step 1
Soft pink pin dots on a navy blue tie!

    Think pink!

I work in men's clothing. For many men, the color pink is a big step. They find it difficult to imagine wearing it, let alone, embracing it with some stylish flair. However, keep an open mind and look around. This season the color pink is everywhere. From dress shirts to ties to casual wear, pink is hot right now. A soft pink dress shirt with your gray, black or khaki suit is a great look! Pair it with a tie that has both your suit color and a bit of the soft pink from your dress shirt and you have a super look!

  2. Step 2
A solid yellow silk tie looks sharp!

    "They call me mellow yellow....."

Here is another great Spring color: yellow! We recently received a wonderful yellow pin-striped dress shirt that I have matched with navy, gray and even black. And if you are not sure you want to try the yellow dress shirt, then, pick a pale blue and add a great yellow tie in either a solid or a pattern.

  3. Step 3
Joseph Abboud is one of many shirtmakers who are featuring lavender this year!

    Look at Lavender!

The shirtmaker Joseph Abboud brought out a soft lavender shirt this year that says "Spring" in a subtle, yet, eye-catching way. Whether it is the lavender solid or pin-stripe, pair it with a Navy blue suit, or, leave the tie at home, grab your dark washed jeans and cover it with a light tan blazer. You will like the look and so will she!

  4. Step 4
Notice the pink shirt? Great look!!

Seersucker suits - not yesterday's news!

A few months back, GQ magazine featured a pictorial on the Seersucker suit. I know, your father wore it! Well, it is back, and, it looks as good as ever! Believe me, this is not a suit for Fall or Winter. However, for Spring and Summer? Go for it!

  5. Step 5
This blue sportcoat with a black polo shirt and khaki pants definitely says

    "Color-up" that Blazer!

Last, but certainly not least, Spring is a perfect time to push the envelope and add some color with a Blazer or Sportcoat. Whether you wear it with a tie, or, go more casual with dark washed jeans and a solid white or blue shirt, a colorful blazer definitely says you are into Spring!

Tips & Warnings
  • Comb the men's fashion magazines for more "colorful" ideas.
  • Take a slow walk through several men's stores to notice the color choices.
  • Shed those thoughts of "I can't do this!"
