Step 1
Depending on your income, you may qualify for WIC. See my article on the sidebar to determine if you qualify and can get free infant formula.
-
Step 2
Visit the baby formula manufacturer’s websites and sign up for coupons and free samples. Once you are on their mailing list, you will get plenty of coupons.
-
Step 3
Check with your pediatrician. They can give you free samples or provide resources for how to get coupons or discounts on formula.
-
Step 4
Refer to websites such as Freepeats.org and Freecycle.org. You may find other moms giving away formula coupons they don’t need.
-
Step 5
Buy formula coupons on eBay. Again, many people get these coupons and won’t use them so they sell them. You will have to pay for the coupons, but the selling price will be much less than the face value of the coupon or voucher.
-
Step 6
Join a coupon train and let the other members know you need formula coupons. Coupon trains can be found on thegrocerygame.com
-
Step 7
Sign up for online printable coupons. See the resources section below for links to online coupon sites. Ask your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to sign up on these websites and print off the coupons, then give them to you.
-
Step 8
Watch the clearance bins at grocery stores and Walmart. Sometimes infant formula is marked down and put on clearance because of a packaging change or to free up shelf space for another new product.
-
Step 9
Consider switching to a generic or store brand infant formula. Compare the ingredients and nutrition facts to the name brand formula - compare products side by side. You may just decide that the store brand will work for you.
-
Step 10
See the resources section below for links to websites where you can get formula coupons and discounts.

on 3/20/2009 Excellent resources. It was 5 years between my middle and youngest daughter. I was blown away at how much formula had gone up in that time.
