Step 1
When you tweet something you think is particularly interesting, follow it with “Please RT” or “Please retweet.” This encourages others to retweet your message, and will give you exposure to all the followers of everyone who retweets it. Only do this occasionally, however, or you will likely be ignored. Try tweeting a link to a new article on something of interest to your followers.
-
Step 2
Participate in #followfriday. On Fridays, it has become a convention in Twitter for users to make a small list of about five people who they recommend for others to follow. Do a search on search.twitter.com for “#followfriday” to see how it's done.
-
Step 3
Participate in #tweepletuesday. TweepleTuesday was started by @sarahrobinson as a way to introduce people who she thinks will be compatible. On Tuesdays several of her posts contain “#tweepletuesday” and she names two users who she thinks should know each other. Try this yourself once you know enough people. Start introducing people, and probably they will start introducing you to others.
-
Step 4
Follow businesses who are in the space you're interested in. Businesses will usually follow you back. It's good for their image, and also a good way for them to use Twitter to receive and quickly respond to customer feedback. Often others will check out the followers of businesses that interest them. If they like your profile and your recent tweets, they may start following you as well.
-
Step 5
Send a public message to someone influential who is not following you by preceding your message with an @ followed by their username. When they answer your tweet, it will be seen by all their followers, and some of them may check your profile and start following you.
-
Step 6
Have an interesting profile. Make sure you have a photo or avatar that represents you well. Fill out the bio section, even if it's very brief.
-
Step 7
Make your tweets interesting, timely, and not too frequent. It's okay to promote your business directly sometimes, but you don't want to appear spammy. The best way to build good relationships with potential customers is to consistently provide them with useful information. Occasional messages of a personal nature are fine, too, since people like to know something about the people they are dealing with.
-
Step 8
Find some great people in your area of interest and start following them. Some of them will undoubtedly follow you back, and some of their followers will start to follow you as well. For suggestions on how to find people to follow, please see the Resources section below for a link to te article, “How to Find People to Follow on Twitter.”

It called tweetergetter. Its really cool just follow the link and read it.
I tried and it worked for me. If you don't trust it then just change ur password later. But you should really give this a try. It gave me like 12 new followers in a few mins.
