Here's an easy recycling tip. If the bottom of your old jeans are rough and frayed ... cut off the bottom part and make cut off jeans to wear during the summer months. Save the bottom jean leg to make cleaning rags for the house or car.

  2. Step 2

Take a few pairs of old jeans and cut into usable pieces. Sew into a shoulder bag, tote bag, shopping bag, cute little purse, or make up bag. There are plenty of free patterns online at sewing sites for this crafty recycling project.

  3. Step 3

Collect a few pairs of old jeans. Measure and cut them into 6x6 squares, sew together by hand or sewing machine to make a funky style quilt.

  4. Step 4

Cut jeans once again into 6x6 squares. Sew them together to make a throw pillow for the bedroom, den, living room. Add some fringe, buttons, beads for instant decoration.

  5. Step 5

And finally for those who aren’t' very good with sewing or craft projects. The best way to recycle those old jeans is to simply donate them to charity if they are in good wearable condition.
