A June wedding is the dream for many brides. Here's how to pull off the perfect June wedding.

1. A June wedding should incorporate some of the natural elements of the season. Seasonal flowers are an elegant touch to any June wedding. Look for roses, hydrangeas, peonies and irises when planning your floral arrangements or centerpieces.

2. June colors are light and bright. Stay away from using colors in the fall season for a June wedding. Pinks, corals, pale blues, lavenders and pale yellows are good selections for this time of year. Incorporate these colors in your flowers, bridesmaid dresses and table linens.

3. Your menu selection should consist of food that is neither heavy or rich. Typically guests prefer to eat lighter meals during the spring and summer seasons. Good appetizer selections would include sushi, raw bar, fruit platters and cheese platters. The main course selections should reflect the season as well. Grilled seafood is always a good addition as well as light chicken and beef choices that do not include heavy sauces.

   Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride dresses in pale shades, navy blue, teal, chartreuse and silvery gray are considered classic colors for a spring wedding.

   Incorporate some of the outdoors into your ceremony or reception site. Many brides are getting married on the beach, lake fronts and gardens. If this type of ceremony is not for you, consider having your cocktail reception outside. Many wedding reception sites are now offering this option and it is becoming quite popular. Be sure there is a plan B for rain dates.

   The wedding cake should reflect the theme of the wedding. Adding real flowers to your cake will add a special spring time touch to the cake. Be sure to discuss this option with your florist. If you prefer, your wedding cake baker can make edible flowers for your cake.
