Weddings are tremendously special occasions, and planning for them typically depends on how much cash you have. If you can afford to plan a wedding with a large budget, I suggest you go all out for your big day.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wedding Planner
  1. Step 1

Hire a wedding planner. Most people have to settle with doing all their wedding planning, but if you have the funds, this person will be of great assistance to you. She will be able to guide you through every step of the wedding planning, meaning you won't miss a thing. You can search the directory (listed below in Resources) for the nearest city with wedding coordinators.

  2. Step 2

Choose the location. Things to keep in mind when choosing the setting include how many guests will attend, what time your ceremony will take place and whether you want the reception at the same location. With a large wedding budget, you should be able to book any place that tickles your fancy. Remember to do this at least nine months in advance, to ensure the availability of the place.

  3. Step 3

Find someone to cater your reception. Visit local bakeries for the cake, as well as restaurants for the reception meal. Read over menus to determine the kinds of food you want to have on your big day. Finger foods are acceptable, but if you are working with a large budget, you should look into serving a full meal, or even a buffet-style dinner. Make sure to book this three to six months before the wedding to ensure you get the caterer of your choice.

  4. Step 4

Shop for the perfect dress. This is your moment to shine, so do not settle for anything less than something you fall in love with. Visit local bridal shops, as well as browse the Internet for your gown that's just right for you. No skimping here. You want to look radiant in your wedding photos. Visit David's Bridal (listed below in Resources) to start shopping for your wedding gown. Also, be sure to get matching jewelry and shoes for your dress.

  5. Step 5

Select a top photographer. You want someone you can capture the memories of your special day in immaculate detail. If you can, you also want to hire a videographer to film the occasion. Having a DVD of your wedding is something you will always treasure. Videography isn't cheap, but with a large budget, it is well worth the price.

  6. Step 6

Opt for real flowers over silk. Silk may be cheaper and last longer, but real bouquets will be much more vibrant in color. With a large budget, you can afford the extra to get much better looking flowers. Be sure whoever puts your flowers together doesn't skimp. You want at least eight in your bouquet. A plus to having real flowers is that you can have them freeze dried after the ceremony, which will preserve them for a long time.

  7. Step 7

Rent a limo, horse drawn carriage or other fancy means of transportation to get you to and from your wedding. Have you and your fiance feeling like a king and queen, and it's sure to have your guests talking. On a cheaper wedding, the bride and groom would already be at the wedding location, but if you are working with a large budget, you will want to ride in with style!

  8. Step 8

Above all, do not wait until the last minute! Money is the primary reason wedding planning is put off until the couple has to decide what they truly want, and can live without. If you have a large budget planned for the wedding, you can afford to have everything your heart desires. For this reason, it is imperative to get your bookings completed as soon as possible. Wedding planning should begin 9-12 months in advance.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your wedding will be one of the most special days of your life. Plan it just how you want it to happen.
