But if you simply can't wait, it is possible to make permanent hair dye fade in a matter of days. Does this Spark an idea?

If the above steps have not worked, you may consider bleaching the color out of your hair, and dying your hair back to its normal shade. You can purchase hair bleach at your local drugstore, and find a hair dye that matches your original color. Leave the hair bleach in according to instructions, and wash and dry your hair thoroughly before applying the hair dye. Leave on for approximately 40 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. This procedure will be extremely damaging to your hair if you have recently dyed or bleached it.

Tips & Warnings
Act quickly. The longer you wait to fix your hair dye, the more difficult it will be to get out. Hair dye is easiest to remove within 72 hours after applying it. Try the less harsh methods before attempting to bleach or strip your hair of color with chemical methods.
Over-processing your hair can cause damage, breakage and hair loss.
