How to Draw a Tiara
A tiara is the perfect accessory for a formal gown or a wedding dress. That means it's also perfect for a drawn character that's wearing a formal gown or a wedding dress. Whether you're drawing a tiara on its own for the sake of practice or using it as a detail to complement or enhance another drawing, the simple shape of a tiara makes it quick to draw and easy to embellish with extra details and decoration. You can make it as simple or ornate as you'd like it to be.
Instructions

1
Make a dot where you'd like each end of the tiara to be.
-
2
Sketch a light line from one dot to the other, with a very slight downward turn toward the ends. Add a second line above it, also going from dot to dot, and a little more curved so that it won't intersect with or overlay the first line. This is the base shape for your tiara.

3
Shape the outline for the top of the tiara. Do you want it to have a point at the top? Several points? Sketch in various shapes very lightly until you find one you're happy with, then carefully erase all the other guidelines.
-
4
Draw in, more darkly now, any details on the tiara. Are there pearls or crystals on it? Make small circular or oval shapes for pearls and small hexagon or octagon shapes for crystals.
-
5
Add any final details to the tiara. Add tiny lines in any crystals to show faceting and add any color highlights you might want. If you're drawing a tiara that's being worn, you're done.
-
6
Create a skinny oval shape, using the bottom line of the tiara as the top and creating a matching bottom. Draw this very lightly in place, then erase the middle portion of the bottom line you just drew. What's left is the sides and back of the tiara, which wouldn't show if it were being worn. Darken and thicken these lines until they're as substantial as you want them to be.
