How to Cook Corn in a Toaster Oven

Roasting corn rather than boiling or microwaving it is a good way to bring out the natural sweetness of the corn. This method can preserve the vitamins and minerals within the corn. Roasting corn is possible in a toaster oven and has the added advantage of not heating up the entire house like a traditional oven can. Using a toaster oven can also leave your larger oven available to cook other items that may have a different cooking temperature.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Preheat your toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Step 2

Peel the husks away from the corn. You can remove the outer husks, but make sure not to remove the inner husks completely.

  3. Step 3

    Clean off the silky threads.

  4. Step 4

Wrap the corn back up in the corn husks.

  5. Step 5

Trim the ends of the corn if necessary so that they fit into the toaster oven.

  6. Step 6

Place the corn in the toaster oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

  7. Step 7

Turn the corn halfway through the baking time if the husks are browning too much.

Tips & Warnings
  • To eat your toaster-roasted corn on the cob, simply pull back the husks and use them as a handle.
