How to Decorate Bulletin Boards for Work
Keeping a bulletin board fresh and inviting requires frequent updates and a few decorative touches to attract attention. There are many paper borders in a variety of designs available for a minimal fee, but these require stapling in long strips and you still need to cover the background with paper. Unfortunately, paper fades quickly, especially if exposed to sunlight, leaving your bulletin board dull and unattractive. Using inexpensive fabric is a great alternative to the traditional paper background.

1
Measure the bulletin board to determine the amount of fabric you will need.

2
Browse the many fabric options at the fabric store. Cotton fabric is often inexpensive and works best for bulletin boards. Select a design that compliments the decor of your office or choose seasonal prints to add a little holiday cheer.

Purchase fabric to fit the dimensions of your bulletin board. Allow several inches of excess fabric to be sure you have enough. Keep in mind that fabric comes in widths of 45 to 60 inches.
-
4
Measure the fabric and fold the edges under to create the dimensions of your bulletin board. Staple the fabric to the bulletin board, beginning at one corner. Smooth away wrinkles as you go.

5
Display notices or memos on the fabric background with staples or tacks. Replace the fabric whenever it becomes soiled or you wish to change the appearance of your bulletin board. Wash the fabric and store for reuse.
