      Create a new folder and place the files you wish to share over your network into the folder.

      Right-click on the new folder and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu that appears.

      Click "Sharing" at the top of the "Properties" menu.

      Check the box labeled "Share this folder on the network" under the heading of "Network sharing and security." Enter a network name for the shared folder in the "Share name" field. Return to this menu and uncheck the "sharing" box if you need to remove sharing.

      Check the option labeled "Allow network users to change my files" if you are fine with allowing other network users to add, delete and alter your shared files.

      Click "OK" at the bottom of the menu to save your settings and to exit the "Properties" menu. A graphic of a hand will be stamped onto the folder to remind you that the folder's contents are shared over your network.
