Things You'll Need:
- Computer and printer

- White card stock
- Heat laminating machine
- Laminating sheets
- Paper cutter
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Hole puncher
- Satin ribbon, 12 inches long
- Two beads
-
Step 1
Back of laminated calendar bookmarkCreate an annual calendar on the computer using a software program to fit into a bookmark template 4 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches long. Print it onto white card stock. Leave room at the top to punch a hole and attach an embellishment. Using a paper cutter or scissors, cut the card stock to 4" wide x 8 1/2" long. Put aside.
-
Step 2
Arrange photos of friends, family or pets as desired to fit onto the back of the printed calendar bookmark. If no photos are used, cut out the rectangular shape from decorative paper (see image in Step 1). Attach photos or decorative paper to the back of the calendar bookmark with a few strips of double-sided tape. Press down to secure.
-
Step 3
Turn on the heat laminating machine until ready to use. Put the calendar bookmark between a laminating sheet and into the protective guide (that comes with laminating sheets for use in the laminating machine). Put through the heated laminating machine. Remove the bookmark from the protective guide and let it cool.

Step 4
Cut the excess laminating sheet 1/4 inch around the laminated bookmark, using either the paper cutter or scissors, for a neat finish. Trim the corners with scissors to remove the sharp point. With a hole puncher, put a hole near the top of the bookmark, above the calendars printed. Insert a satin ribbon and tie it at the top. Slip the ends of the satin ribbon through two beads (with holes to accommodate the ends of the satin ribbon) and tie a knot on the end of each to keep the bead from slipping off.
