The Murad Acne Complex is a skin care routine designed to clear skin and prevent acne breakouts. It was developed by a dermatologist and includes four acne products sold in a kit--a cleanser, a treatment gel, a spot treatment and a moisturizing lotion. The manufacturer claims that up to 90 percent of users see a reduction in their acne after completing the 30-day treatment plan. The products are easy to apply and will hopefully reduce your acne within four weeks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Splash your face with warm water and then squeeze a small amount of the Murad Clarifying Cleanser into your palms and rub your hands together to create a lather. Gently spread the cleanser around your face, taking care to rub it into your acne-prone areas. Rinse your face thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

  2. Step 2

Squeeze a dime-sized amount of the Murad Acne Treatment Gel onto your fingers. Apply a thin layer to your entire face and neck, concentrating on your acne-prone areas.

  3. Step 3

Apply a drop of the Murad Acne Spot Treatment directly onto any pimples or blemishes you have on your face. Let the product dry completely.

  4. Step 4

Place a quarter-sized amount of the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion on your fingertips and spread it evenly over your face and neck. Apply more if your skin is especially dry or irritated. Let the lotion dry before you apply any cosmetics.

  5. Step 5

Use the Murad Acne Complex twice per day--in the morning and at night. If your skin becomes very irritated, reduce your treatment to only once per day until the irritation decreases. Each kit provides a 30-day supply of the Acne Complex. According to Murad, you should start to see results within 4 weeks.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not use scrubs, loofahs or washcloths on your face while using the Murad Acne Complex. The Clarifying Cleanser contains salicylic acid, which exfoliates your skin while you cleanse. Additional scrubs or rough loofahs can be irritating for your skin.
