How to Make Mix Tapes With Your Home Stereo

Buy blank audio tapes. A ten Pack can be found for under ten dollars. Choose the cassette tapes which you will be recording from. Cue the tapes to the songs that you want on the mix tape.

Rewind the blank tape on side A. Place the blank tape into tape deck 1 and place the recorded tape into tape deck 2.

Press record tape deck 1 and then press "Play" on tape deck 2. Stop recording when you want to record another song or tape.

Eject the cassette from tape deck 2 when finished. Insert another cassette. Press "Record" on tape deck 1, and "Play" on tape deck 2. Repeat step 3 until you are satisfied with your mix tape. Flip to side B when side A is full.

Press "Play" on tape deck 1 to preview your new mix tape. If there were any problems that occurred during recording, record over again.

Tips & Warnings
Turn on the radio and record tape deck 1 when wanting to make a radio mix. Try to think of a theme when making a mix tape to make it more personal.
Be sure that the tape you are recording over is blank. Once it is recorded all previous media are erased.
