Cookies are small disks made of sweetened dough that are either baked soft or crisp. Almost everyone likes to eat cookies. However, not everyone can eat them, at least not if made with sugar. There is a way around this dilemma. You can make homemade cookies that are sugar-free so diabetics or those on diets can enjoy them, too. Making cookies without sugar doesn't make them any less delicious, it just makes them healthier.

Things You'll Need

  • ½ cup butter
  • Eggs
  • 1 cup honey
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 apple
  • ¾ cup raisins
  • ¾ cup cranberries
  • ¼ cup applesauce
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • Cooking spray
  • Cookie sheet
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 2 cups of Splenda
Step 1

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. Next, take the apple and peel it and then cut it in little pieces, making sure not to leave any seeds. Place in a bowl and set aside.

Cream ingredients. Applesauce and honey are natural sweeteners and can be used instead of granulated sugar for a pleasant taste. Put one egg, honey, 1 tsp. vanilla, applesauce and softened butter in a large bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat the ingredients on medium until creamy. You can also substitute the honey and applesauce with 2 cups of artificial sweetener.

Add dry ingredients. Pour the flour and quick oats in with the creamed ingredients and blend well.

Combine the fruit. Add the raisins, apple and cranberries to the batter and stir well with a spoon.

Bake cookies. Grease a cookie sheet with baking spray. Put the cookie dough on the cookie sheet by the spoonful. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool before eating.

Bake the cookies. Put the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the middle has a dry appearance.
