How to Put on a Steering Wheel Cover

Measure the diameter of your steering wheel with the tape measure.

Purchase the style of steering wheel cover you like from your local auto repair store or car dealer. The steering wheel covers are sold by diameter size.

    • 3

Take the steering wheel cover out of its package.

    • 4

Place your fingers under the top of the steering wheel cover and place the steering wheel cover on the top of your steering wheel.

Heat it in the oven just until you get a faint plastic smell. Then run to the car and put it on. I heated it in a fan forced over with the door slightly ajar. Do not burn it ... just wait until it feels slightly soft.
