Style your wig. Brush, curl and spray your wig into the style you want. Since this isn't real hair and it's not on your head yet, feel free to use a lot of hairspray to hold it in place.

Get rid of your real hair. Use gel to slick your hair back. If your is longer, use bobby pins and an elastic to make sure it doesn't go past your hairline. Make a flat bun or some other unobtrusive hairstyle.

Put the wig on. Fit the elastic cap part (the part under the wig hair) around your hairline, which should be about 4 inches above your eyebrows in the front. Adjust the elastic or Velcro tabs at the back for a secure fit. Some wigs also have small tabs by the temples, so use those too. If you are still concerned about fit, slide bobby pins around the elastic edges of the cap part.
