Homemade eyebrow wax is easy to prepare, and less expensive to make than purchasing ready-made hair removal waxes. You can prepare a homemade eyebrow wax using easily obtainable, natural ingredients that won't irritate your skin. Moreover, you can use this wax recipe (minus the beeswax) as an exfoliant and moisturizer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. of beeswax
  • 10 strawberries
  • Two egg whites
  • Food processor or blender
  • Glass jar
  • Cotton strips
  1. Step 1

Place the 2 tbsp. of beeswax inside a glass jar, and place the jar in boiling water to melt the wax. Once the wax is fully melted, set it aside to cool slightly for about a minute.

  2. Step 2

Wash the strawberries and remove any stems. Then, chop the strawberries up to make them easier to blend with the other ingredients. Also, separate the egg whites and set aside. The strawberries are a natural antiseptic that will prevent the sensitive skin around your eyebrows from getting too irritated.

  3. Step 3

Combine the strawberries, two egg whites, honey and melted beeswax into a food processor, and blend well until you achieve a nice creamy consistency.

  4. Step 4

Apply the wax with a popsicle stick in a thin strip on the hair to be removed. Press a cotton strip against the wax, pat the strip down to make sure all the hairs are covered, and pull it off against the direction of hair. You can purchase unused popsicle sticks in bulk at any arts and crafts store.

  5. Step 5

Boil some water and add a teaspoon of baking soda in it. Dip a soft wash cloth into the water/baking soda mixture and dab against the eyebrows to remove sticky wax residue.

Tips & Warnings
  • Reheat the wax in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or place the wax in a glass jar then place the jar in boiling water for a few minutes. Apply some aloe vera gel to soothe redness of the skin after waxing.
