Let your rollers heat up while you wash and dry your hair.

Plug in your heated rollers and let them heat up while you wash your hair. Wash your hair thoroughly and wring out as much water as your can from your hair. Dry your hair with a thick, absorbent towel. Spray a little bit of gel onto the roots of your hair. Comb out the tangles from your hair. Using a hair dryer, dry your hair using medium heat until it is completely dry.

    • 2

Brush your hair and part it as usual. Once your rollers are hot enough, take out one of the rollers from the roller holder. Separate a 2-inch section of your hair at the top of your head and wrap the ends of the hair around one of the rollers. Curl the roller up the hair, tucking the ends inside the rolled hair. Continue to roll until you reach the roots of the hair. Pin the roller to your head using one a hair roller pin. Continue to roll the hair in 2-inch sections until your entire head is rolled.

Keep the rollers in your hair until they feel cool. Then, carefully unpin and unwrap the rollers from your hair, one at a time. Place the rollers back into the holder, along with the pins. Once all of the rollers are out of your hair, flip your hair upside down and separate the hair with your fingers. Return your hair to its original position and spray lightly with hairspray.
