      Visit the GoDaddy website to begin the process of creating a new domain. Perform a name search for your desired domain by entering it in the "Start a Domain Name Search" box. After typing the name, click the drop-down arrow and decide if you'd like a ".com," ".net," or other available ending besides the default. When you're ready, click the orange "Go" button to see results.

      Discover if your entered domain name is available for you to use. If it is, you'll see a green check mark next to it and the words "Is Available" will also appear. Along with your chosen domain name, you'll also have the chance to purchase similar domain by clicking the box next to each one. Add more options to your purchase by clicking the displayed tabs. You can buy an already established domain name, perform a smart search, or even purchase an international domain.

      Click the orange "Proceed to Checkout" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, you'll be instantly presented with a few more options to add to your purchase. If you'd rather not add anything else, select the "Continue to Checkout" link to proceed forward. Create a new GoDaddy account on the "Domain Registration Information" page. Enter some basic details such as name, email address, physical address, and other details. Click the orange "Continue" button to move forward. View the information you just entered and verify that it's correct. Press the "Continue" button to progress forward again.

      Finish the initial setup process of your new domain by picking the length of time you'd like to register the domain, a hosting package, and any other additional features to help make your domain more functional. Select the "No Thanks. I'm Ready to Checkout" link and press the "Continue" button to begin entering your payment details. Review your domain purchase and choose a payment method to pay for it. You'll be able to select a credit card, online check, PayPal, or even a gift card. Read and accept the terms by placing a check in the box next to each one. Click the orange "Check Out" button to complete everything. Within a few minutes, you'll receive an email containing information about your new domain.
