Flowers are the perfect addition to a spring table to bring color and vibrancy to any meal. Whether you are entertaining or just desire something special that feels like spring, these napkin holders are the perfect quick project to add a spring touch to your dining table.

Find some silk roses at any craft store (choose all one color or a variety of colors), and then all you need are some elastic hair bands and a needle and thread to finish this quick project. Pair these pretty napkin holders with cloth napkins in spring colors, and you will have a delightful table ensemble.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large elastic hair bands (white or cream-colored)
  • Silk roses
  • Needle and white thread
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters
  1. Step 1

Remove the silk rose blossoms from the plastic stems using wire cutters if necessary. Set aside any green leaves from the stems. Discard the plastic stems.

  2. Step 2

Thread the needle with a 12-inch length of thread. Tie a knot in the end of the thread.

  3. Step 3

Insert the needle into the underside of an elastic hair band, and pull it through from the other side until the knot stops the thread.

  4. Step 4

Position a green leaf and a silk rose onto the elastic hair band at the point that the thread comes through the hair band.

  5. Step 5

Bring the needle up through the underside of the leaf and silk rose, and stitch the silk rose to the hair band by hand-sewing it securely.

  6. Step 6

Insert the needle back into the hair band to come out at the point of the original knot. Knot the thread and clip the excess to finish the first silk rose napkin ring.

  7. Step 7

Repeat steps 3 through 6 to make as many silk rose napkin rings as desired.
