How to Make Small Decals
A decal is a sticker that is often placed on car bumpers to send a message about the driver to other motorists. Decals can be purchased almost anywhere from discount to drug stores. They can also be purchased from online specialty shops that create them custom for an added cost. Those with a home computer can also easily create decals themselves.

1
Purchase decal paper for your printer. Inkjet printer paper can be found in the electronics section at most discount stores, as well as craft supply stores, and paper outlets such as Office Max. Many manufacturers sell paper specifically for their printers on their website, and you can also purchase generic brands online.

Find an image you wish to make into a decal. Save the image to your computer. You can also design your own with photo editing software.

Open the image in the editing software. Select image at the top, and click "Resize." Select inches in the options menu. Type in the desired decal size. Click "Save," "Submit," or "Apply," depending on the software used.

Place the inkjet paper in the printer tray. If the printer has a slider, move it over and against the printer paper. Double check to ensure that the paper is not tilted.

5
Re-open the image if you have closed it. Select file at the top left of the page, and click print. When the printer options box pops up, select the appropriate paper type, and click print.

Remove the paper from the printer. Cut out the decal with scissors. Remove the backing to place it on a car or other object.
