Instructions

  1. Pattern Construction

    • 1

Choose a box you would like to model your Easter box after. Open the box, and gently take it apart at the seams. This is your pattern.

    • 2

Using a pencil or pen, trace the shape of the box onto a piece of paper. Mark all of the folds of the box with a straight line. Areas that need to be cut should be traced with a dashed line. Double-check your work.

    • 3

Cut out the shape. Be sure to cut the dashed lines from the pattern.

    • 4

Fold all of the straight lines. Use a bone folder or craft stick to get a sharp, even fold.

    Box Completion

    • 5

Apply glue or double-sided tape to the seams of the box. Secure the sides to one another.

    • 6

Hold glued portions to make sure they're adhering.

    • 7

Glue the bottom seam of the box.

    • 8

Fold the top flap down and close the box.

    • 9

Decorate the completed box with Easter stickers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before filling Easter boxes with food or candies, line them with clear plastic wrap or wax paper. Refer to your dismantled box to see where the glued seams are.
