Things You'll Need:
- soft cloth
- vinegar or cleaning solution
- grout sealant
-
Step 1
Wash the ceramic tile around your bathtub with a mild detergent or tile cleaner. Do not use a harsh cleanser or one that it abrasive, as it will scratch the tile. A mixture of 1 cup vinegar mixed in a gallon of hot water will clean dirt off your ceramic tile as well as remove hard water deposits. Do not use soap or an oil based cleanser.
-
Step 2
Rinse the ceramic tile using a clean damp cloth. Do not use an abrasive cloth or it may scratch your tile.
-
Step 3
Clean the grout around your ceramic bathtub tiles regularly. Grout lines are rough and will attract dirt and become dark and unsightly. Using a toothbrush, apply grout cleaner to the grout and rinse it clean. Do not use bleach on the grout as it can discolor. A paste of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar will work well to clean grout.

Step 4
To prevent grout from soaking up moisture and becoming mildewed, seal the grout around your bathtub tiles. Grout sealants can be purchased and applied using either a spray bottle or a small paint brush.
