How to Turn on the Bluetooth in an Inspiron E1505
Bluetooth allows users to move data across short distances. You can move data from fixed to mobile equipment, such as between cell phones, desktops, printers and laptops, all without wires. It is considered a lower-power consumption device and will transmit without having to be physically seen. For the Dell Inspiron E1505, the Bluetooth device is optional, so you will have to specify that the device be installed at the factory.

1
Turn the wireless on by holding down the "Fn" key and pressing the "F2" key. If the wireless device turns on but the Bluetooth symbol on the front color panel does not light, you do not have the Bluetooth card installed. Once installed, both the wireless and Bluetooth lights will turn on and off when you press this key.

2
Turn off the computer if you do not have a Bluetooth card installed. Flip the laptop over and orientate it so that the battery cover is to the bottom left. Remove the battery.

3
Inside the battery compartment, to the far left, remove the Bluetooth compartment cover.

4
Plug the computer's Bluetooth cable into the Bluetooth adapter. This adapter will look like a thin card. Once it is plugged in, slide the card into the Bluetooth compartment's cover, and replace the cover.

5
Place battery back into the laptop, and start the computer back up. Install the proper Bluetooth drivers for the computer. Press the "Fn" and "F2" keys simultaneously to turn on the wireless. The Bluetooth symbol should light up in blue, indicating that the Bluetooth is properly installed.
