Before actually starting the liver cleanse, all activities causing health problems must cease (i.e., excessive alcohol consumption, drug use other than prescribed by a doctor, diet high in fat and cholesterol, etc. ) or the liver cleanse will not be effective.

Obtain all of the ingredients for the liver cleanse. The ingredients of the liver cleanse are as follows: Fresh squeezed lemon or grapefruit juice; purified water; olive oil; Epsom salt; and a bottle of milk thistle capsules.

On day one of the cleanse, do not eat past 2 p.m. and avoid fatty foods. At 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m., drink a mixture of ¾ cup of water and 1 tablespoon Epsom salt. At 10 p.m., drink a mixture of ½ cup olive oil and the juice from either one grapefruit or one lemon.

On day two of the cleanse, upon waking and again two hours later, drink a mixture of ¾ cup of water and 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt. Eat light meals and avoid fatty foods for the whole day.

On day three, begin taking 200 mg of milk thistle, increase the dosage to 400 mg within one week and continue taking this amount until the bottle is gone.
