How to Make a Cloth Floral Bow
A floral bow is typically large with many loops. The loops are generally large around the outer edges of the bow, and the inside and top of the bow has smaller loops. If you make your own fabric floral bow, you can make it as large or as small as you want. The technique is the same, whether it has only a few simple loops or many loops. A fabric bow is useful for many different crafts. It can be used in floral arrangements, centerpieces and wreaths to add country charm to your creations.

1
Cut the fabric into strips that are 2 inches wide. Cut enough strips so that you can make one continuous strip that is at least 3 yards long. Sew the strips together to make the long length of fabric using a 1/4-inch seam allowance.
-
2
Turn under 1/4 inch along both long edges of fabric and press. Stitch along both edges to secure the fold.
-
-
3
Pinch the fabric strip to make a 7-inch loop on one end.
-
4
Make more loops along the fabric, pinching them in one hand, until it resembles a full bow. Stop forming loops to allow enough ribbon for the second tail.
-
5
Wrap floral wire around the center of the bow to hold it tightly. Tuck the wire in among the loops to conceal it.
-
6
Arrange the fabric loops so that they look neat and even.
-
7
Trim the fabric tails at an angle to complete the bow.
