How to Lose Eyelashes
Eyes are the window to the soul, which makes eyelashes the frame to the soul. Lush, thick eyelashes are envied by women, who go to great lengths to perm, dye, coat and primp their lashes. Unfortunately, extensive eyelash grooming can wreak havoc on the delicate hairs, causing them to fall out or break off prematurely. For long, beautiful lashes, a careful eye makeup regime should be followed. Does this Spark an idea?

The most important step a woman can take to keep her lashes healthy and strong is to always remove eye makeup before going to bed. If the regular face wash you use won't remove all traces of mascara, try soaking a cotton ball with gentle eye makeup remover and lightly wiping the mascara off in a downward motion that follows the lash. Leaving mascara and eyeliner on is a sure-fire way to create lash breakage and premature fallout.

Invest in a gentle, non-waterproof mascara and use it for daily makeup needs. Though waterproof mascaras hold a curl better, they require strong scrubbing to remove from the eyelashes, which causes eyelash loss and damage.

3
Use an eyelash curler sparingly and gently. Avoid clamping down hard on the eyelashes when using the curler, since this creates weak spots in the hair that will eventually lead to breakage. Only apply light pressure to achieve a slight curl in the lashes.

4
Condition eyelashes weekly with a formula specially targeted toward stimulating lash growth. One of the market leaders is Revitalash, a pricey conditioner that claims to grow longer, thicker lashes. Though expensive, the small tube lasts for about a year and is worth investing in to repair damaged or patchy eyelashes.

5
Avoid eyelash perms and tints. Not only are the procedures costly, but they also can cause permanent vision damage and wreak havoc on the health of eyelashes by causing breakage and brittleness.
