How to Make Animation With Computers
When the world of television and cinema first began, the use of animation required everything to be hand drawn and colored by artists. Today, oftentimes the pencil is put down and mouse is picked up to create lifelike CG animation seen in movies, cartoons, commercials and even online. If you own a computer, you can actually create your own animations. It's a time-consuming process, but it's worth it for those dedicated to the world of animation and design.

1
Use Adobe After Effects. One of the main benefits of using Adobe After Effects is the integration with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and other programs within the Adobe software catalog. Adobe After Effects is an advanced animation program that allows users to manipulate photos and videos to create sophisticated animations. The program is used to create animations for places like arenas and digital advertisements, but it also has been used to animate the popular Nick Jr. show "Little Bill."

2
Use Swish Max. Flash animation is growing in popularity because of its ease in use and low memory and hard drive use. The program Swish Max works a lot like Adobe After Effects, but Flash files are optimized for use on the web. You can create short flash animated movies; website introductions; or a full flash presentation featuring sound, video and special effects.

Use Maya. Maya is one of the most popular 3D animation tools around. Users that learn to use Maya can model together detailed and lifelike 3D animations and create professional-looking movies. This program takes a lot of hard drive space to run and render, so you need an advanced computer in order to make the best out of this program.

Animate using a regular video editing program. If you want to create stop motion animation, you can do this without an animation program and edit directly in a video editing program like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Simply take each image file and put them in order on the video time line in the project. Render the video and then speed up the final processed video to a realistic speed. Add in the "motion blur" tool in order to make the animation look smooth and less choppy.

Use Easy Gif Animator to make small animations. These animations can be used as a main profile picture or to showcase something without exporting the actual video file. Animated gifs are convenient and simple animations that people can get creative with if they do them correctly (see Resources below).
