How to Stream Live Video to the Internet

Creating a video can be fun especially if you learn how to stream it for others to see on the Internet. You can create videos to show how to do certain things, advertise or simply for fun. Whatever you choose to do with creating your video for the world to see, the following directions will show you how to stream it to the Internet.

1. Purchase a webcam and download the software. After downloading, then shut down your computer and restart it. Connect your webcam. Purchase and connect your microphone. The connections for both will be on the back of your PC.

2. Use an audio recording application to test your microphone. Try downloadthat.com (see the link in Resources) and download the software. Run a test by recording your voice and see how well it can be heard.

3. Download software to your Internet specifically for streaming live videos. Use broadcam streaming live video server or another server.

4. Begin configuring your video.Click "Options" after downloading the software. Select "Startup" and then connect to "Camera source." Choose how you want your video displayed and click "OK."

5. Select "Connect" on the main page. Links will appear that you can copy and paste onto your website or web page so that your video will appear. Many people can view your live video by clicking on the link.
