The Chia Pet alarm clock was created in 2006 to celebrate the Chia Pet's 25th anniversary. Its alarm consists of the popular slogan played at the end of Chia Pet commercials. Many people find it difficult to set this clock. In fact, some have so much trouble setting it that they end up with the alarm going off at odd intervals for weeks. This is usually because they lose the instructions, which are actually fairly straightforward. There are only three buttons on the entire clock, all of which are located on its front.

Set the alarm. Press the middle button one time. Then push the first button to go to alarm mode. Press the first button to toggle between alarm (your typical ring-once alarm), chime (which goes off at a set interval) and snooze (which goes off repeatedly to make sure you get up), using the first button as needed to turn them on or off. Press the middle button to finalize your choices. Press the first button to change the hour when the alarm will go off, then the middle button when you're done. Push the first button to change the minutes and the middle button when you're finished. Press the middle button again to exit alarm mode.

  4. Step 4

Check the settings while in normal mode. Push the first button once to see the alarm time, twice to see the date and three times to see the seconds only in stopwatch mode. Push the second button to put the seconds back to zero while in this mode.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turn the alarm off by pushing the third button. It will go off for 60 seconds if you don't take any decisive action.
  • Don't use this alarm clock if you have roommates who are light sleepers. It is very, very loud and guaranteed to annoy them.
