Click the "Download" link under the software information. The File Download pop-up window will appear and prompt you to either "Run" or "Save" the driver file. Click "Save" to store the driver installation software to your computer for later ease of access. When the download is complete, open the setup application to begin the installation. Confirm your language and click "OK" to proceed. Your InstallShield Wizard will appear. Click "Next" on the Welcome screen to continue. Read and review the "Read Me" documentation and click "Next." The User License and Terms of Agreement from the manufacturer will appear on the next screen. Read and review the document and click "Yes" to begin storing the scanner's file location on your hard drive.

  3. Step 3

Select the destination folder for the scanner file's location. You will be given a default file destination for the scanner. Do not change the suggested location. Instead, click "Next" to confirm the scanner's components and functions. There will be a display of the scanner's components and the size of each file. Click "Next" to confirm the components installation. Save the scanner's program folder on the next screen and click "Next" to begin copying the scanner's functional files onto your hard drive. Be sure to review your operating system's functions and specifications to be sure this scanner is comparable to your system. When the computer prompts you to reboot when concluding the installation process, always choose this action so your computer can completely configure the new settings and installation. This is the safest measure to take when installing new hardware. It ensures the hardware is functioning properly.
  • Run only the required programs needed to install this printer during the actual process to avoid unexpected computer freezes and other possible malfunctions that could terminally alter or abort the installation process. Do not connect multiple USB adapter plugs or insert the USB adapter plug into more than one USB inlet port.
