How to Design 80s Party Invitations
-
1
Burn CDs. The first step is to collect songs from the 80s that you and your friends like. Determine the number of invitations you'll need so that you know how many CDs to burn. See the resources section for a list of 80s song titles.
-
2
Design CD labels. Design your CD labels using software such as NEATO or Acoustica. Write the contents of your invitation and include important information such as the date, time, location, RSVP information and attire if you would like guests to wear an outfit from the 80s. Include a title that uses words that were popular in the 80s, such as "You're Invited to a Totally Awesome Party" or "Get Ready to Have a Lot of Fun Like fer Sher."
Include a background, such as a mirrored disco ball. Test run a few printouts after you have designed the label until the alignment is perfect. Print all of the CD labels using an ink jet printer.

3
Apply CD labels. Peel each CD label from the paper and stick it onto the CD. You can use an applicator for this step so that the label is accurately placed on the CD.
-
4
Place each completed CD in a CD case. Use bright colors for the CD cases because the 80s were full of vibrant colors.
