How to Make 8th Grade Graduation Invitations

Making your own (or your child's) 8th grade graduation invitations is not a difficult task, and some people prefer this route because of the personalization options. Sit down at the computer, let the creative juices flow and you will have some outstanding invites in no time!

Instructions

1. Design the layout of the card. This can be done in Microsoft Word or a more specialized program such as a greeting card maker or Adobe Photoshop. You may choose to do a single page invitation or the more standard style for graduation invitations, which is the folded card.

2. Search the Internet for images to use on your invitations. Graduation scrolls, caps and even little graduates can be found. Use the search term "free clip art" to find and download some great pictures. Add these to your cards.

3. Add some text boxes around your images. You may want to search the Internet for formal wording. Graduation poems and quotes can be found all over the Internet, even for those graduating the 8th grade. If you choose, you can also create your own.

4. Make sure to include all the necessary information for the ceremony, such as time, place, and RSVP details. Include any information about a graduation party if you also plan to throw one for the graduate.

5. Print a test invitation on plain white printer paper. Once you are satisfied with the look, you can insert the card stock paper into your printer and print as many invitations as you need. Seal the envelopes with graduation stickers, and mail to those you want to attend the big day.
