How to Begin a Raw Food Diet
Whether you are choosing the raw food diet in hopes of losing a few pounds, or you simply want to clean out your system, coming up with a solid plan is integral to the success for this diet. Beginning a raw food diet may be the most difficult part, but once you get the ball rolling, it should be clear sailing from there.
Instructions

1
Begin to incorporate raw foods into your daily meals for approximately 2 weeks. Make sure that with each meal of the day you are consuming at least 2 servings of fruits and/or vegetables.
-
2
Add a salad composed of all raw foods to both lunch and dinner. This modification will warm your body up to the idea of eating more fruits and vegetables.
-
-
3
Remove meat and poultry from your diet after the first 2 weeks. Replace with Spirulina and Chlorella---these are algae and freshwater plants that contain detoxifying agents and antioxidants.
-
4
Prepare a recipe book of raw food dishes. Keep your options open and be willing to try a variety of different dishes.
-
5
Begin to wean yourself off of the other foods slowly after the first few weeks. Continue to add raw foods to each meal until you have incorporated a complete selection of raw foods to your diet.
-
6
Continue fully with the raw food diet for up to 30 days. Although some make it a complete lifestyle change, most people use the diet for 15 to 30 days in order to clean out their system.

Tips & Warnings
Drinking juice is an integral part of the raw food diet. However, juices are not considered "raw" unless they are freshly squeezed. Purchasing a juicer is an excellent investment for the raw food diet.
