How to Make a Drawstring Dice Bag
Game players who use dice often find they're difficult to keep track of. The easiest way to make sure that you don't misplace your dice is to put them all in a pouch. A drawstring top keeps even the smallest from slipping out.
Things You'll Need
- Cloth Chalk or marking pen Cloth scissors Pins Thread Needle Sewing machine (optional) Drawstring(s)

1
Decide on the size pouch you want. For a single set of dice, the pouch shouldn't be more than a few inches long, but if you have multiple sets, the bag can quickly fill. Keep in mind how many dice you currently have, and how many sets you may buy in the future.

Mark the size of the pouch that you want on a piece of cloth using chalk or a marker. Cut two squares (or rectangles) of cloth that are the same size. The easiest way to get two panels that are the same is to mark out what you want, then double the cloth over so you only have to cut once to get both sides of the pouch. Laying the bottom edge of the pouch on the fold will save you from having to sew that seam.

Pin the two pieces of cloth with the right sides together. By hand or machine, stitch along the bottom and two sides, leaving a small section at the top of each side unstitched. The unstitched sections should be the same length and deep enough to accommodate the drawstring when folded over.

4
Knot the drawstrings at each end. If you are using one drawstring, you can knot it later (see Tips). Fold the two unstitched portions of your pouch over your drawstrings and pin. The drawstrings should overhand the edges.

5
Sew down the drawstring casings. The idea is to enclose your drawstrings in a tube of fabric along the mouth of the pouch. Make sure that none of your stitches go through the drawstrings and that the mouth of the pouch remains open. Remove the pins, turn the pouch right side out, and fill it with your dice.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to use only a single drawstring, leave just one side of the pouch open when preparing to fold the lip over your drawstring.
