Digital scrapbooking is the wave of the future. However, it can be just as time consuming as paper scrapbooking if you aren't prepared. Having digital templates designed and ready to go can save you mountains of time, plus you can personalize them every time with new colors and accents without having to start from scratch. Learn how to make your own digital scrapbooking templates using the guide below.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer Adobe Photoshop
  1. Step 1
     

    Open a blank page in Photoshop. Set the size to 8 by 8 inches or 12 by 12.

  2. Step 2
     

    Change the foreground color to a light gray.

  3. Step 3
     

    Change the background color to dark gray.

  4. Step 4
     

    Fill the background with light gray using the paint bucket tool.

  5. Step 5
     

    Switch the foreground color to the background color.

  6. Step 6
     

    Draw rectangles or shapes in dark gray to mat your future photos on.

  7. Step 7
     

    Add decorative shapes using the shape tool.

  8. Step 8
     

    Write a title using your choice of font and size in the empty space available.

  9. Step 9
     

    Save as a Photoshop or .psd file so the mats and accents, as well as colors and fonts, can be altered in the future.

Tips & Warnings
  • Change the colors in the future by selecting a new color and filling the area in with the paint bucket tool.
