How to Make Window Cleaner With Vinegar
If you're trying to go green with your cleaning products, you may wish to try cleaning your windows and other glass the way your grandma used to do it: with vinegar. The acidic composition of vinegar makes it an excellent cleaning product, whether used in a bucket or in a spray bottle. Within a few minutes, you can mix up a batch. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 gallon bucket 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 tsp. dish soap 2 quarts hot water Rags Newspapers

Pour the comfortably hot water into the bucket.

Add the vinegar and dish soap and stir enough to dissolve the soap.

Dip a cleaning rag into the bucket and wring slightly so it isn't dripping.

Wash the glass, using a circular motion. Be sure to get the corners clean, too.

Rinse the rag in the vinegar cleaning solution and wipe the dissolved grime off the window.

Polish dry, using a crumpled newspaper or lint-free cotton rag.

Tips & Warnings
Make a double batch and pour some into a quart spray bottle before you begin cleaning. Use a squeegee on outside windows. This solution also works well on appliances and other household surfaces that you normally clean with water-based products.
