How to Relieve a Dry Nose

A dry nose can be a very painful thing, especially if related to allergies. Dry noses can occur at any time and often times happen during a cold, seasonal changes, change in air, or sometimes at completely random of times. There are some ways to relieve a dry nose, luckily. Here are some tips.

      One of the best ways to prevent and help a dry nose is to keep hydrated. Sometimes dehydration can make things worse. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water!

      Nasal drops and spray do wonders when it comes to a dry nose. Check your local pharmacy for such products.

      Some believe that rubbing the inside of your nose with moisturizing creams can help. Be careful not to choose a cream that will further irritate your nose. Scented creams should be avoided especially.

      Stand over steamy water. The steam will relieve your nose. If this isn't enough, add Vicks to the mix!

      Use a humidifier.

      Sometimes putting a nice, warm washcloth over your nose is required. If all of the above fail, put the moist, warm washcloth over your nose and relax for a few minutes.
