How to prepare your own Easter Baskets while on a budget.

    Easter is a month away, and many parents with small children will probably give the children Easter Baskets. You can purchase Easter Baskets already made up with various kinds of candy but they tend to be a bit expensive. There is a way that you can buy everything to make your Easter Baskets this year even if money is tight. These baskets can look as good as if it were professionally made.

  2. Step 2

    First, you can purchase Easter Baskets at Dollar General for $1 each. In addition, Dollar General sells the grass for the basket as well as bows and ribbons. The Candy and flavored Bunny Rabbits can be purchased at Walmart or even your Grocery Store. You may want to consider Buying a medium to large candy Easter Bunny for each basket. You could buy a decent size solid Vanilla or Chocolate Bunny for about $6 a piece.

    Baked Easter Ham.

    Next, would would an Easter Basket be without Marshmallow Chicks. Chicks cost about $2 for a box of 6 Chicks. The Chicks normally come in Yellow and Pink. Of course, Jelly Beans have to be part of the Basket. Jelly Beans are fairly inexpensive between $3-$4 per bag. Finally, mini Chocolate Eggs wrapped in color Easter foil make the Easter Basket complete. As a finishing touch, you can add a nice Ribbon on the handle of the Easter Basket. A Pink Ribbon for a girl, and Blue Ribbon for a boy. You may want to include a new Tooth Brush in the Easter Basket as a reminder. You want to leave plenty of room for that juicy Easter Ham.
