Are you one of those people who can find romance in everything that you do? You may love to dress, act and talk the part, so it goes without saying that your home should reflect this. Romantic style is not just for women either, men can appreciate it if done without too many frills. Here are some ideas on how to incorporate romance into your home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
OLDER FURNITURE LOOKS WONDERFUL PAINTED WHITE

OLDER FURNITURE LOOKS WONDERFUL PAINTED WHITE

If only one room in your home reflects the romantic style, it should be the master bedroom. One of the main components of this style is using painted white furniture, so there is really no need to replace your current set, just paint it. Older furniture sets adapt well to this look as pieces from many years ago were made with lots of curves and trim. As with painting any wood furniture, you will need to prep, prime and apply 2 coats of paint to get a beautiful finish.

  2. Step 2
A SPA-LIKE BATH IS VERY SOOTHING

A SPA-LIKE BATH IS VERY SOOTHING

The master bath is the perfect place to go romantic, all white decor in the bath just says clean and restful ..... the best way to end the day. You may not have a free standing tub and it may not even be white, but if you use all white in your towels and accessories you'll achieve the same look.

  3. Step 3
    FRESH FLOWERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMING

    FRESH FLOWERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMING

It's not always necessary to paint everything white, this entryway has a dark wood finish to the table, but it's the accessories that say romantic. A pretty lamp, a vase of flowers or a small chair to sit on can all reflect a soft and pleasing atmosphere.

  4. Step 4
CREATING BEAUTY IN A SMALL SPACE

CREATING BEAUTY IN A SMALL SPACE

A corner of the living or great room can be given over to the man of the house. Here a small area is given a beautiful desk and chair, to either work at or to just sit and read. Once again, the furniture is not white, but the combination of items is comfortable and very pleasing to the eye. Sometimes, it's all the little things that make a space not only inviting but can make you feel good as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • For the private areas of your home think of using the white furniture. You can change the look of the room very easily by just changing the linens or drapery. A single woman may want plenty of pretty pillows, while a couple may go for stripes or checks on their fabrics. A bed always looks romantic draped in gauze, a fabric that is quite inexpensive to decorate with.
