Things You'll Need:
- Vacuum
- A strong arm
- vinegar
- baking soda
- squirty bottle
- dish soap
- bucket
- Oust spray
-
Step 1
If it is general bad odors in the car, first try a really good cleaning. You seriously would not believe what some people have found under the seats of their cars before.
Vacuum really well, clean the windows, spray some Oust around. -
Step 2
Clean the windows, because they do hold bad smells that you want to get rid of. There are two really great ways, one mix 4 - 5 parts water to one part white vinegar in a squirty bottle. The overspray will also deodorize the rest of the car. Don't sorry it won't smell like vinegar for forever. If the windows have mystery substances and children's stickers on them, you need to get a bucket of warm water, a few sqeezes of regular dish soap in it, and a scrubby. I like the ones with the white mesh around them. Lather up the windows and wipe off with old newspapers. Don't ask me why, but old newspapers do work best.
-
Step 3
If there is a persistent bad smell you can replace the carpet, take it to a car wash to have your car detailed, which is cheaper than having the carpet replaced, or do it yourself. Scrub the floors and use your own home carper cleaner. The ones at the car wash are gross and don't work well, so don't even waste your quarters. Unless its puke, But that's why you have that bottle of tequila with rolls of paper towels in the trunk, am I right?
