You can send flowers to people you're close with at any time, even when it's not a special occasion. In fact, it shows how much you care about a person when you send flowers "just because". Whether you are using online florists or local flower shops, flowers sent to a family member, romantic partner or close friend are a nice touch to let them know you care.

   Determine the type of flowers you want to send. The flower delivery will have even more significance if you know the colors and/or types of flowers the person likes. You would hate to send red roses to someone who would prefer lilies. Maybe an assortment of colors and types would be best. Do some research to determine the type that is most appropriate or preferred.

2. Decide on a suitable quantity. A single flower sends a completely different message than a dozen flowers. If you are sending flowers for a certain occasion, make sure you send an appropriate amount. You wouldn't send a single flower to a funeral or a big wreath of flowers to your girlfriend for your anniversary.

   To box or to vase, that is the question. An elegant vase can make all the difference in the world in presenting the flowers. Maybe a vase in their favorite color or a unique style would bring a smile to their face. If they own a favorite vase, you could just send flowers in a box with a nice ribbon.

   Send flowers to the appropriate location. Flowers sent to the workplace of your significant other will score you big points in the romance department. Sending flowers to a funeral home when a death has occurred shows sympathy.
