moisture equals good skin care

Facial care is important to everyone. Summer heat on the beach to winter winds easily dry out the skin on the face causing early signs of aging and wrinkles. Here is how to moisturize dry facial skin and fight the signs of aging.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Morning Facial Care. Use a mild soap with a heavier oil base like Dove, Basis, or Aveeno Bar Soap.` These super fatty soaps are milder on the skin and will not cause dryness like other soaps with less oil.

  2. Step 2

Daily Facial Care. Good facial care starts with a moisturizer. Moisturize the face constantly during the day. But the optimal time to apply a moisturizer to the face is right after you wash the face while it is still damp. Pat on the moisturizer gently and do not rub the skin. Let moisturizer soak into the skin.

  3. Step 3

Daily Facial Care. Always use a thick gooey moisturizer. Those thin
moisturizers on the market are mostly water and offer inadequate skin protection for even the average person with normal facial skin.

  4. Step 4

Night Time Facial Care. Vaseline is an inexpensive and reliable method to
moisturize the skin. Slather Vaseline on the face each night before going to bed to seal moisture in and smooth skin.

  5. Step 5

Night Crèmes. If Vaseline is not your thing try moisturizers made especially for dry skin like Eucerin Extra Protective Moisture Lotion or Lancome Absolue Night Treatment for those who don't mind paying more for dry skin care. Both are excellent choices for treating dry skin.
