Dry brushing followed by wet brushing with tooth paste is better for your teeth.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tooth Brush
  • Tooth Paste
  1. Step 1

Start by not using any tooth paste and a relatively good condition tooth brush. Do not use a brush with bristles heavier than medium. Softer is preferred.

  2. Step 2

Make sure the brush is clean and brush your teeth as you would normally (but without tooth paste). Using the normal up/down motion. This should take a few minutes. Less than 1 minutes is too short. This should help break free plaque.

  3. Step 3

Then brush again with your favorite tooth paste for another couple of minutes. This further cleans and removes bacteria as well. Remember to brush in the up/down direction for best results.

  4. Step 4

The essence of following these brushing steps is that you brush your teeth longer. By adding the extra step you are doubling the amount of time you spend on your teeth each day. This alone is probably the most significant factor in dental care.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your tooth brush is clean and relatively new.
  • Do not leave your tooth brush laying around just anywhere in the bathroom. Watch out for cross-contamination of your tooth brush from the vessel you use to store your tooth brush in (or on).
  • The auther is not a dentist nor an authority on dental hygene.
